Headteacher's Welcome

At Myatt Garden, we are passionate about learning. Children are at the heart of everything we do and we believe that there is nothing that they cannot achieve. Every child has success within them and our aim is to provide a stimulating environment where all children can achieve.

Our rich curriculum engages children as active participants in experiential learning. We aim to inspire them to become highly motivated, independent learners with a real sense of self-worth, the skills to work successfully alongside others and the resilience to face challenges. We support all children to have high expectations of themselves, make sense of their world and have a good understanding of the learning process. Ofsted inspectors recognised that the ethos of Myatt Garden is very positive and instils a sense of ‘can do’ in pupils and staff. They highlighted the significant part played by our bespoke curriculum and the way it encourages children to think for themselves and develop a real enthusiasm for learning.

Myatt Garden has a warm and inclusive atmosphere where children feel safe and valued.  As well as academic success, we strive to develop our children’s emotional intelligence and empathy for others. Our pupils are polite, friendly and demonstrate very positive attitudes to teachers, their learning and each other.
